Twitter prebunked election fraud myths to all 73 million US users in 2020
Evidence
Twitter’s prebunk is known as a fact-based inoculation; in other words, they are attempting to immunize people against a specific myth rather than a larger technique. The format Twitter adopted followed the structure of our climate-change inoculation experiment closely (a forewarning coupled with a prebunk of the myth centred around expert consensus). They implemented the approach fairly well but what’s even more impressive is that Twitter scaled the inoculation message across all of its 73 million US Twitter users. It’s possibly the largest real-world prebunking experiment a social media company has ever performed to date. — Sander van der Linden, Foolproof, 930
