Thrift-with-me videos form a genre across thrift influencers

Evidence

Phipps is not the only influencer to produce these kinds of “Thrift with Me” videos. They are made by people such as Lone Fox, a slightly more popular influencer who focuses more on home renovations than clothing, for instance. The videos of Kim Ebrahimi include scenes in which the influencer throws many, many pairs of jeans into a cart and then tells us of selling them on Depop: “I had to get it and if I end up not liking it I can sell it.” Alexa Sunshine has a “Thrift with Me” video in which she attends a specific sale in Los Angeles, the Jet Rag $1 Sunday sale, a sale every Sunday in the parking lot of the vintage store Jet Rag, depicting a chaos of bodies grabbing and clawing at specific garments. — Grant Bollmer, Katherine Guinness, The Influencer Factory, 275
