The Sacromonte texts are the last Arabic-language works written in Iberia
Evidence
Whatever the contents of the Mute Book turn out to be, these Sacromonte texts, because they are beyond doubt the last works written in the Iberian Peninsula in the Arabic language, do not deserve to be ignored in the way that they have been. In one way or another, Moriscos must have had some hand in their creation, and it would be surprising if the books did not yield up yet more information after further study. — L. P. Harvey, Muslims in Spain, 1500 to 1614, 1332
