The Muslim prayer posture sujud is used to depict forced conversion in Riddick

Evidence

In Chronicles of Riddick, the monsters kill humans who do not agree to “convert” to the Necromonger religion; when they do convert, the humans kneel down in the Muslim stage of prayer known as sujud. The Grand Marshal of the Necromongers goes on a pilgrimage and returns as a monster. He lives in a Moorish-style palace where Riddick is repeatedly tortured. The Grand Marshal constantly orders captives to “convert,” “convert or fight,” or “convert or die”—some of the language in which this film reflects contemporary political discourse surrounding Islam. — Sophia Rose Arjana, Muslims in the Western Imagination, 701
