The Institute’s first-year AJC report originated the A-S scale later published under Allport.
Evidence
The four (typewritten) volumes entitled Studies in Anti-Semitism: A Report to the American Jewish Committee consisted of an almost 150-page report and numerous individual studies, among which the most impressive, certainly in the eyes of the sponsors and experts, was the study by Sanford and Levinson, `A Scale for the Measurement of Anti-Semitism’. This had already been published in the Journal of Psychology by Gordon W. Allport, one of the most respected psychologists in the United States and a specialist in the psychology of the personality. — Rolf Wiggershaus, The Frankfurt School, 387
