The court treated Harvard as joint tortfeasor and employer of Agassiz

Evidence

The court, on several occasions, referred to Harvard as the employer of the wrongdoer, the joint tortfeasor. The justices each took turns rigorously interrogating the Harvard attorney, Metlitsky. He was peppered with deeply probing and complex legal questions. It was interesting to watch the crafty way in which he danced around and dodged the direct line of questioning. — Tamara Lanier, From These Roots, 1260
