The Breitbart right organized around the doctrine that culture precedes politics.

Evidence

Bannon was a former Goldman Sachs banker, Hollywood film producer, and the CEO for Biosphere 2. In 2004, he met media entrepreneur Andrew Breitbart, and the two bonded over a shared belief that “politics is downstream of culture.” After Breitbart’s death in 2012, Bannon took over his namesake website and aggressively steered it toward a nativist-right platform, complete with a dedicated section on “Black crime.” Breitbart popularized the term globalist as a slur for liberals and elites. — W.
