Kesey’s first Acid Test was held on November 27, 1965. The next ones were staged throughout December in San Jose, Muir Beach, Palo Alto, and Portland. On January 8, 1966, there was an Acid Test at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco and two weeks later, the three-day Trips Festival was staged at Longshoreman’s Hall. — J.
