Ted Kennedy achieved more for the underprivileged than his martyred brothers

Evidence

Kennedy, nearly fifty, was a man with several counts against him. But he set out to carve his own niche, championing the causes of the underprivileged. The “lion of the Senate” fought tirelessly for the poor, the uninsured, the old, the disabled, the children, immigrants, refugees, and all the other “untouchables” of American society. He roared and clawed until the end of his life for their causes, and in so doing, he arguably achieved far more for them in his life than any of his older brothers did. — Sheldon Solomon, Jeff Greenberg, Tom Pyszczynski, The Worm at the Core, 225
