Evidence

When recording a live acoustic event for reproduction over a multi-channel loudspeaker set-up, typically a number of microphones are positioned in a spaced configuration at the recording venue. The number of microphones is at least the same as the number of loudspeakers, and they are separated by distances ranging from 10 cm to several metres.
