Sublation must itself evolve within the process it regulates to avoid circularity
Evidence
The efficacy of the dialectical logic assumes that the Aufhebung must be itself susceptible to a dual suppression–preservation; it must be itself susceptible to transformation. The Aufhebung evolves, as a term, within the same process which it regulates and measures. If one considers this process as a logical movement for which Hegel has already fixed and determined the direction, then there is no way to escape from the vicious circle. Indeed, if ‘sublation’ is always the sublation of something other than itself, then it would remain always something relative: then we would have to admit that absolute knowledge is an intervention by force which arbitrarily suspends the bad infinity of relation. — Catherine Malabou, The Future of Hegel, 1004
