Roe v. Wade resulted from organized litigation campaigns, not happenstance

Evidence

This story is worse than myth. It is false as history and incorrect as analysis. Christian nationalism drew its inspiration from a set of concerns that long predated the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade and had little to do with abortion. The movement settled on abortion as its litmus test sometime after that decision for reasons that had more to do with politics than embryos. — Katherine Stewart, The Power Worshippers, 222 (#qualifies, via linked claim)

Following graduation, Marshall enlisted in the efforts of the NAACP to combat racial discrimination. For more than 20 years, as head of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, he instituted or managed hundreds of cases challenging discriminatory laws dealing with voting, housing, education, and public accommodations. Several times he successfully pursued these challenges to the Supreme Court. His most important victory came in Brown v. Board of Education in 1954, when he persuaded the Court to invalidate racial discrimination in public education. — G. Alan Tarr, Judicial Process and Judicial…, 888 (#instantiates, via linked claim)
