Riots erupt among the unaffiliated young and poor, not the organized

Evidence

It is hardly a coincidence that contemporary riots erupt among the remaining unaffiliated floaters. In the United States, these are the young and the poor. The elderly might also be considered in this category. Their reduced physical vigor, however, makes them unlikely candidates for the kind of energy-exenion required in rioting. — Lyn H.
