Research converted a homeopathy believer into a prominent skeptic
Evidence
As a professor at the University of Exeter, Edzard Ernst held the first ever chair for the study of complementary and alternative medicine. In the course of his own research he changed from a believer in homeopathy to a skeptic and became one of the most prominent critics of pseudo-medical procedures worldwide. He retired early after a dispute with Prince Charles over the use of alternative medicine procedures in health care. — Holm Gero Hümmler, Ulrike Schiesser, Fact and Prejudice, 843
