Press reports of early camgirl traffic varied wildly and inaccurately
Evidence
Quantifying a camgirl’s popularity is a complicated business. In 2001, camgirl Ana Voog sent me some press quotes she had received over the years about her site, saying “You can see how they all get the story different or just plain wrong.” At about that same time, the New York Post had credited Voog with receiving 700,000 visitors a day, while Goldmine put her traffic at 700,000 hits a day. The Philadelphia Enquirer said her site was “accessed a halfmillion times a day by people around the world,” while Der Spiegel put daily traffic at “more than 200,000 people.” — Theresa M.
