Over a thousand Mannesmann workers were interviewed in fifty-minute sessions using outside interviewers
Evidence
In July and August, the main research was carried out in Mannesmann’s five main factories, four of which were run with worker participation. In individual oral interviews lasting an average of fifty minutes and following a questionnaire sheet, fifteen experienced interviewers from the German Institute for Population Surveys (Deutsches Institut für Volksumfragen) in Frankfurt interviewed 1176 workers. — Rolf Wiggershaus, The Frankfurt School, 507
