Official review found no security threat justified Japanese imprisonment
Evidence
In December 1982, and June 1983, the CWRIC issued a damning 467-page report entitled Personal Justice Denied, which concluded that the decision to imprison Japanese Americans was a result of “race prejudice, war hysteria, and a failure of political leadership.” Not only that, but their close examination of the facts had failed to reveal a single instance where an ethnic Japanese posed a security or military threat that would justify “all American citizens of Japanese descent and all Japanese resident aliens [to be] excluded from the West Coast.” — Dorothy A.
