Notable Afrikaner families descend from coerced sexual abuse of slaves
Evidence
The slave-house, home at its height to 500 or so Dutch East Indies Company slaves, became a brothel for a brief period each night, frequented by Company agents, employees, and even burghers. Rest time was disrupted for women and men slaves alike, women forced into a second bondage of the body, the men reduced to helplessness in the face of these visits. Notable Afrikaner families that followed from such patronage included the DuPlessis, Myburgh, and Pretorius clans. — David Theo Goldberg, The Threat of Race, 1324

- CANDY: The DuPlessis, Myburgh, and Pretorius clans trace lineage to a slave-house brothel patronage — a striking, shareable fact.
