Natural persons become surplus population unless they pass as corporations

Evidence

Since corporations are privileged as citizens and social actors in contemporary public life, what were formerly known as “people” and “citizens,” “natural” persons afforded rights and abilities based on the requirements of the state and the happenstance of birth, become a mass of surplus population to be used and discarded—that is, unless a “person” can pass themselves off as a corporation. The Corpocene is the dialectical sublation of the opposition between corporation and person, a synthesis of the two that privileges and maintains the corporate form. — Grant Bollmer, Katherine Guinness, The Influencer Factory, 387
