Mannesmann financed the Nazi Party and was decartelized under the Potsdam Protocol
Evidence
Mannesmann was not just any company. It had been a founding member of the Anti-Bolshevik League and had financed the Nazi Party. During the Second World War it had taken over factories in occupied countries. After 1945 it was one of the industrial conglomerates which were decartelized. The decartelization of German heavy industry, whose concentration in a few hands the Allies saw as being a decisive precondition for Germany’s vast potential for waging war, was one of the most important provisions of the Potsdam Protocol. — Rolf Wiggershaus, The Frankfurt School, 2054
