Manji portrays Palestinians as either fundamentalist abusers or welfare frauds

Evidence

The Israelis we meet in the second half of the book are self-critical, democratic, and tolerant towards Palestinians. Israel, however, is plagued by the same sort of Muslims Manji knows from her childhood. She meets leering fundamentalist Muslim men who insist that she wear a ‘girdle’ over her outer garments when visiting a sacred Muslim site and who are unwelcoming and relentlessly misogynist. Palestinians who are not fundamentalists are welfare cheats. — Sherene Razack, Casting Out, 234
