Living infinitely fast would defeat death as annihilator of options

Evidence

This makes clear how technical acceleration and the heightening of the pace of life are tied together in a cultural logic of quantitative escalation and how growth and acceleration are indissolubly bound together even from the cultural perspective. He who lives faster can then in a certain way complete a variety of life projects in a single life span and make their experiential possibilities accessible to himself. It is not difficult to see how the horizon of an “eternal life” can be won back here by imagining an unlimited acceleration. One who lives infinitely fast no longer needs to fear death as the annihilator of options. Between such a person and the intrusion of death lie infinitely many “life projects.” — Hartmut Rosa, Social Acceleration, 501
