Jacobs rallied a crowd to disrupt a public hearing by leading them onstage

Evidence

The Voice account was headlined PERSECUTION OF THE CITY PERFORMED BY ITS INMATES. Jacobs noted that the microphone had been set up so that speakers would address the community rather than the officials seated on stage (who in any case refused to take questions). With the crowd chanting her name, she took the microphone, promising that “if the expressway is put through, there will be anarchy” and, as if to demonstrate, marched on stage—spontaneously joined by some fifty members of the audience—and thus delivering a message for the Department of Transportation “errand boys” to take back to Albany. — J.
