Intergroup relations training must be age-tailored and context-sensitive across the lifespan

Evidence

Following Allport, we argue that a concern for intergroup relations should be a recurring theme from childhood to adulthood and should extend into the workplace, recreational settings, and the community. These programs should be tailored to suit the emotional, social, and intellectual maturity of the participants and should take into consideration local conditions affecting intergroup relations. — John F.
