Harvard news coverage appropriated Ellie Reichlin’s archival research without credit

Evidence

In all the reporting I’d read about the provenance of the daguerreotypes, there was mention only of “a Harvard associate” doing the original research, which gave the impression that they sponsored and supported it. I now understood that they had in fact appropriated Ellie’s work—without giving her proper credit! It was more proof that they were trying to cover their own culpability in how these images came into existence. — Tamara Lanier, From These Roots, 746
