Governmental AI adoption involves three distinct stakeholder groups that must cooperate

Evidence

The third essential task for using legal technology for good is to pursue proper implementation. By “implementation,” we mean the specific factors that determine how legal technology is brought into daily office practice. Leadership is the first area to address. Whenever the instituting body is governmental, we can assume that there will be up to three primary groups working on the project: the office’s leadership (e.g., an elected/appointed district attorney and his or her senior staff), the office’s employees (e.g., ADAs and legal assistants), and a data analytics team, which will be an in-house team, an academic team working from outside the office, or (most likely) a combination of in-house data analytics people and outside academics. — Joseph Avery, Jim Sidanius, Joel Cooper, Gregory Davis, Amanda N., Bias in the Law, 1189
