Friendly disposition toward individuals is not a general macro-motivation to cooperate
Evidence
A micro-motivation to cooperation is a motive to cooperate, on a given occasion or occasions, which does not imply any general motive to cooperate as such. A non-egoistic micro-motivation might consist in friendly relations towards a given person, the natural expression of which includes a willingness to cooperate with her. I may have, further, a disposition to enter into such friendly relations, and then I shall, in all those cases, be disposed to cooperate; but still I shall not have, in virtue of that, a macro-motivation towards cooperation, as opposed to a disposition to enter relationships in which I am motivated to cooperate. — Diego Gambetta, Trust - Making and Breaking Cooperative…, 197
