Feminists have neglected training racist police and service providers

Evidence

I suggest that something along the lines of culturalization occurs where violence is assumed to be a natural aspect of life, and therefore not something it is worth doing anything about. My suspicion is that South Asian women are met with a similar culturalization. If racism and not cultural respect is the problem, then a critical issue is how to train police and service providers who are racist, something feminists have paid little attention to. Instead, we have sometimes contributed to re-installing the myth of the civilized European. — Sherene Razack, Casting Out, 330
