Far Right Evangelical leaders fused Zionist allegiance with open demonization of Islam.
Evidence
Despite efforts by moderate Evangelical and mainline Protestant leaders to condemn Islamophobic rhetoric, the Far Right Christian leadership, which proudly boasts its Zionist allegiance, openly demonizes Islam and defames the Prophet Muhammad. In an interview on the televangelist Pat Robertson’s 700 Club, Rev. Jerry Falwell said, “These Islamic fundamentalists, these radical terrorists, these Middle Eastern monsters are committed to destroying the Jewish nation, driving her into the Mediterranean, conquering the world. And we are the great Satan. We are the ultimate goal.” … As the founder of the Moral Majority, an influential Evangelical political movement, Falwell’s words on the Christian Broadcasting Network reached millions of Americans. — Sahar F.
