Eurocentric reason’s dominance over imagination has systematically excluded people of color

Evidence

One of the issues with the dominance of Kantian idealism in Western modernity’s critiques of reason (over the imagination) has been precisely its exclusion of certain categories of people—most prominently, people of color (see Charles Mills 1997, 2017). Indeed, one of the most detrimental domains where routinized ignorance can be found is what Charles Mills has called “white ignorance,” the “belief systems and mythologies that white colonizers, as part of the European imperialist project, actively constructed as factual reality” (1997, 5). — Aris Komporozos-Athanasiou, Speculative Communities, 328
