Different RWA Scale versions correlate comparably despite psychometric differences
Evidence
Happily, these results showed that it does not matter much which version of the RWA Scale you use, as far as empirical correlations go. You get about the same results with any of them, from the beginning of the series to the end—which is why in the last chapter I merrily equated the various RWA Scales that different researchers have used. Unhappily, however, the 1993 version did not have better empirical validity than the one I had in hand twenty years (and hundreds of experimental items) earlier. — Bob Altemeyer, The Authoritarian Specter, 670
