DCOAE recordings isolate f2 site information free of distortion-product fine structure

The DCOAE is generated around the characteristic site of f2 and thus predominantly provides information about the f2 site without being influenced by DPOAE fine structure that is known to affect I/O functions unwantedly (Mauermann and Kollmeier 2004 ).
