Both forms of poststructuralism owe an overwhelming debt to Nietzsche
Evidence
The debt owed by both variants of poststructuralism to Nietzsche is overwhelming. Deleuze adumbrated many principal themes of his own thought in Nietzsche et la Philosophie (1962). Derrida has acknowledged Nietzsche’s influence in various texts. Foucault went the furthest, declaring ‘I am simply a Nietzschean’ not long before his death, and giving two key expositions of his own method in the form of readings of Nietzsche. — Alex Callinicos, Against Postmodernism, 284
