Believers in God’s image feel shielded from death by divine attributes

Evidence

For people subscribing to this faith, being God’s emissary in charge of the earth felt (and feels) pretty good; it was even better that God was immutable, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, and eternal. Being everywhere, knowing everything, having unlimited power, and lasting forever was an ideal set of attributes to help those of us who believe that we were created in God’s image feel immune from death. — Sheldon Solomon, Jeff Greenberg, Tom Pyszczynski, The Worm at the Core, 564
