Evidence

Adorno, who was neither a member of the notorious Marxist stronghold' nor politically active, and was only’ a half-Jew', stayed behind. He later complained in a letter to Horkheimer that he had not been informed about the final removal of the Institute to Geneva, and had been left without any indication from the Institute as to where to go or what to do’. — Rolf Wiggershaus, The Frankfurt School, 514
