Adorno published mostly in generalist journals and books rather than specialist venues

Evidence

Most of what he wrote consisted of articles and lectures that were published in journals for the general publicsuch as the Frankfurter Hefte, Neue Rundschau or Merkurand in books aimed at the general public, rather than in specialist books and journals. Many of his published articles started out as radio talks. — Rolf Wiggershaus, The Frankfurt School, 2173
