Adorno drafted up to a hundred questionnaire items by translating texts into F-scale questions
Evidence
In the middle of December he received the bundle of papers with the title
F-scale' from Adorno, with documents from Berkeley on the new questionnaire. This was all initial material for the questionnaire. The questions suggested were partly still to be reformulated and put in a form which was comprehensible and psychologically suitable for those being questioned. Adorno himself had worked out eighty to a hundred questions, a number of which he haddistilled out of the “Elements of Anti-Semitism” by a kind of translation process’. — Rolf Wiggershaus, The Frankfurt School, 1577
