Above 500 Hz room curves are predictable from anechoic loudspeaker data

Evidence

In all of the measurements, above about 500 Hz the steady-state room curve would be well predicted from anechoic loudspeaker data. Gedemer (2015) showed that in a 516-seat cinema, there was very little difference between the spatial averages of four microphone locations and 109 locations. At low frequencies, standing waves and adjacent boundary effects dominate results and equalization is a remedy for some of these. β€” Toole, Floyd E, Sound reproduction- the acoustics and…, 1337
