A journal reviving an intellectual school needs a critical mass of contributors
Evidence
The difficulty is that earlier on we all basically put all our energies into the journal in the same spirit. Apart from ourselves, there are only Dirks and Dahrendorf now. Of course, we would have to publish something in it together ourselves in the end, but firstly when I get back I will need some prolonged rest, and secondly it wasn’t articles we had in mind, but a more extensive publication. In any case, we cannot let the journal cast a shadow over the light the Institute is still able to give off. — Rolf Wiggershaus, The Frankfurt School, 496
