A drunken street interview clip launched the Hawk Tuah meme

Evidence

The best part of any superhero movie is the origin story. One night in the summer of 2024, the hosts of the online show Tim & Dee TV were cruising the streets of Nashville, Tennessee, conducting Girls Gone Wild–lite interviews—flirting with women on camera, tossing out heavy sexual innuendo, then angling for their phone numbers. Midway through the episode, they stumbled upon a twenty-one-year-old blonde named Haliey Welch. Dressed in a tight black dress and white go-go boots, Welch was visibly intoxicated, repeatedly wandering off camera to yell at friends across the street. DeArius “Dee” Marlow eventually reeled her back in frame and hit her with his stock question: “What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?” Welch, in a thick Tennessee drawl, leaned in and delivered an instant classic: “Ah, you gotta give ’em that hawk tuah and spit on that thing. You get me?” — W. David Marx, Blank Space, 813
